Being close
He buried his face in her hair.
Smelling the salt on her skin. Feeling at home right there. Bursting, with joy from within. Closeness of spirit and kin. Closeness so real, but so rare. Allowing his senses to spin. Perceiving that life can be fair. Alive, and acutely aware.
